Fortunata Rose ‘Aunt Forty’ Latini

Fortunata Rose “Aunt Forty” Latini, 99 (would have been 100 on Aug. 13), formerly of Linn St., Williamsport, died peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at The Williamsport Home. She was surrounded by a number of her family members and friends.

Born Aug. 13, 1914, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Achille (Jacob) and Rosemarie (Cuva) Borrosco.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fiaravandi (Frank) Latini in 1971, and sisters and brothers, Sara, Mary, Bola, Joe, Sebastian and Carmon.

She was a 1932 graduate of Williamsport High School. Aunt Forty worked for a number of years at Arrow sewing factory, Franco’s Lounge and 20th Century Bakery. Forty was a member of the former Mater Dolorosa Church, and a current member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

Aunt Forty enjoyed crocheting, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are Salvatore Zangara (nephew), Rosalie Hammon (niece) Cindy Zangara (niece),Tony Zangara (nephew), Lorrie Howe (Dave)(niece), Randy Zangara (Tina)(nephew), Francis Danielle (Godson), and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St. Burial will be held in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday in the portico of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.
