Lewis P. Zinck

Lewis P. Zinck, 75, of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 3, 1938, in Tomb’s Run, the son of Philip E. and Grace Zinck.

Lewis was married to the former Nancy Brion with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

He retired in 2000 from the Jersey Shore Steel after 36 years of service. Lewis was a farmer his entire life until 2012.

Lewis enjoyed farming, hunting, riding his four wheeler and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, Lewis G, Zinck and Benny Zinck; three daughters, Tina Wagner, Susan Eck, all of Jersey Shore and Joni Ross, of Williamsport; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sam, Ed, and Ken Zinck, all of Tomb’s Run; and a sister, Helen Rhea of Avis.

Lewis was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Zinck.

Relatives and friends are invited to Lewis’ Life Celebration 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., “A Life Celebration Home,” 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with Pastor Cathy Dawes officiating. A visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. Burial will be in Tombs Run Cemetery.
