Isabel Cheyney, 93, of Blossburg, died May 21, 2014, at Soldiers & Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro.
Born in Boothwyn, Pa., on May 12, 1921, Isabel Marie was the daughter of George and Viola (Fritz) Booth. She married Edwin Cheyney on Aug. 12, 1938.
They shared 47 years together and were blessed with five children. Edwin passed away on Nov. 28, 1985.
Family and home came first in Isabel’s life. She will be remembered as a caring wife, mother and grandmother. Isabel was a member of the Blossburg United Methodist Church and their former Alpha Circle. She enjoyed times shared with family, knitting and puzzles.
Surviving are three children, Sharon (Mickey) Levandoski, of Mansfield, Lollie (Dan) Short and Edwin Jr. (Linda) Cheyney, all of Covington; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Marlene Bubacz, Patricia Johnson and a grandson, Michael “Mikey” Levandoski.
Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, at Zwicharowski Funeral Home, 314 Granger St., Blossburg. Pastor Michele Somerville will officiate the funeral and committal services at 3 p.m.
