Frank E. Garrison

Frank E. Garrison, 83, a resident at Elmcroft Assisted Living, Loyalsock Township, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born April 13, 1931, in Williamsport, a son of John E. and Deloris A. Miller Garrison.

Frank graduated from Williamsport High School in 1949. Following graduation he attended Lycoming College for two years, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Frank was an engineer, having designed boilers for atomic submarines and having received three patents. In 1992 he retired from the Babcock and Wilcox Co. He was a Methodist by faith, was a member of the Barnstormers Flying Club, and enjoyed making and flying model airplanes.

He was predeceased by his parents, and by his wife, the former Janice E. Fox.

Surviving are his sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews and their children.

The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St. Montoursville. Interment will follow in Picture Rocks Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday afternoon from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
