David G. Fink
David G. Fink, 56, died Wednesday July 9, 2014, in the Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Unit, in Muncy.
He was born in Williamsport on Dec. 18, 1957, the son of Francis D and Rita M. Bertin Fink.
David was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was the former owner and operator of the Bridge Tavern in South Williamsport from the early 1980’s to 1999. He then was a cook for Haywoods Bar and Grill.
He earned a culinary degree from Johnson and Wales University. He was devoted to and loved to cook for his family. A sports enthusiast, he was an avid Philadelphia Eagles football fan, and had a passion for throwing horseshoes.
He is survived by his children, Derrek F. (Kate) Fink, of Milton, Dillon Fink and Daisha Fink, both of Williamsport and Coral Orso Bloom, of Montoursville; grandchildren, Evan and Ethan Bloom, Jayda Fink and Ian Fink; brothers and sisters, Patricia R. (Bruce) Birkby, of Lafaette Colo., Christine M. (Jeff) Rauff, of Montoursville, Marilyn E. (Gary) Kline, of Carlsbad ,Calif., Janice A. (Joseph) Clark and Thomas M. (Karen) Fink, both of this city.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd. Williamsport on Tuesday July 15, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. His pastor Monsignor Stephen McGough will officiate. Friends may call at the church lounge on Tuesday morning from 8:15 until 9:15 a.m. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
