Mary Elizabeth Wool
Mary Elizabeth Wool, 71, went to be with her Jesus, on July 16, 2014,
She was baptized a Roman Catholic. She was born on Sept. 5, 1942, and was the daughter of Howard and Anna (Steppe) Wool, who predeceased her in death.
She was also predeceased by her brother, Norman Wool and her sister, Mildred Embick.
She was a loving sister, aunt and a friend to many people. Everyone who knew Mary loved her. She was a special person. We all have fond memories of Mary, especially her music, dancing and playing the ukulele. She was happy-go-lucky and a lot of fun to be around.
She enjoyed “going to work” at Hope Enterprises Workshop. She was very proud of the handicrafts she made at Hope and was especially proud of her beaded jewelry. You always saw Mary with bracelets, necklaces and rings.
She is survived by nine brothers and sisters, Rose (Billy) Kinley, James (Mary) Wool, Ann (Harvey) Fink, Howard (Carol) Wool, George (Eileen) Wool, Carrie (Ken) Fisher, Alice Purvis, Walter (Donna) Wool and Pauline (Mike) Winchester; and one uncle, Lewis Steppe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who dearly loved her.
There will be a memorial for Mary at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home,” 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, on Saturday, July 26, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a service following.
Donations can be sent in Mary’s name to Hope Enterprises, 1536 Catherine St.
