Mary Lou Henderson

Mary Lou Henderson, 74, of Montoursville, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Med Star Washington Hospital in Washington D.C.

Mary Lou was born in Shenandoah, Pa., on Jan. 20, 1940 the daughter of Leo Luke and Mary (Bane) Daley.

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown and had been employed by Susquehanna Health as a registered nurse for Hospice and at The Gatehouse.

Mary Lou was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, but most of all she enjoyed time with her grandchildren on the farm at “Camp Nana.”

Her husband of 41 years, Dr. K. Wayne Henderson, died Nov. 29, 2002.

Surviving are her children, Colleen (Raymond deceased) Perchinski, of White Deer, Karen A. (Tony) Lisi, of Montoursville, Michael Henderson, of Montoursville, Megan (Sim) Basta, of Long Island, N.Y., Matthew (Vicki) Henderson, of Montoursville, Patrick (Erin) Henderson, of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Mallory Perchinski, of White Deer, Nicole, Katie, Amanda, Gabby, Zach and Brianna Lisi, of Montoursville, Jordan Basta, of Long Island, N.Y., Kayla, Phillip, Abby, Jacob and Emma Henderson, of Montoursville, Max and Emily Henderson, of Harrisburg; a brother, Leo (Jo Ann) Daley, of Allentown; and sisters, Patricia (Ed) Weatherford, of Hatsboro and Ann (Bill) Pepper, of Warminster.

In addition to her parents, husband and son-in-law, a sister Betsy Kania preceded her in death.

The family will receive family and friends at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Susquehanna Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701 for the benefit of The Gatehouse.
