Robert C. Rudy

Robert C. Rudy, 83, of Williamsport, died on Monday, July 21, 2014, at ManorCare North.

He and his wife, the former Audrae Musto, would have celebrated their 64 wedding anniversary on Aug. 13.

He was born on Jan. 6, 1931, in Gleason, and was the son of Amiel and Roselene Andrews Rudy.

Robert was a dairy farmer who also enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Media Church with Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and Sonlight Ministries.

In addition to being a dairy farmer he worked for Eureka Paper in Troy. He also was the manager at Insinger’s Personnel Care Home and the Tillburg Personnel Care Home, in Williamsport.

Robert’s faith in God led him to assist many churches with their Sunday Schools, church ministries and the sound man in bringing people to God. He helped build Highway Tabernacle Church in Mansfield.

He enjoyed playing his guitar and being in a quartet. He love camping with his family, and doing string art and crafts. He enjoyed attending the programs at Albright Life with his wife.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Robert Lee Rudy, Dwight Christian Rudy and Timothy Paul Rudy; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Ann Merserau; two sisters, Eileen Smith and Shirley Strate.

Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2104, in the Christian Church at Cogan Station, 5904 Lycoming Creek Road, Williamsport, with Rev. Harry “Bud” Yoder officiating. Burial will be private in King Hill Cemetery, Tioga County.
