Kieth ‘Kit’ M. Edler

Kieth “Kit” M. Edler, 69, of Liberty, died on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on Sept. 7, 1944, in Williamsport, he was the son of Ray and Vivian (Roles) Edler. Kit is survived by his wife, Jeanne (Guillaume) Edler with whom he celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary on April 3, 2014.

For approximately 50 years he was a heavy equipment operator for various construction companies, including Servidone Construction and Nestlerode Construction Co. Kit had an appreciation of the outdoors and nature and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Jeanne, Kit is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannine and Alex Schepers, of Reading, Rene and Ted Lee, of Liberty, Denise and Michael Harris, of Liberty; one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Annette Edler, of Belgrade, Mont.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Kit was predeceased by a brother, Terry Edler.

Family and friends are invited to a life celebration for Kit on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at his daughter, Denise’s home at 377 Landis Lane, Liberty, from 10 a.m. to noon with a service at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Three Springs Ministries, “Horse Barn Project,” 874 Linck Hill Road, Morris, PA 16938.

Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, is assisting the family.
