On Sept. 2, 2014, Aleatha Wright, 85, of Trout Run, left her loved ones here to be with the Lord and Wayne “Mike,” her beloved husband of 67 years, once again. Aleatha was born in Canton on Oct. 2, 1928. She was a daughter of the late Paul and Maude (Wilcox) Tillotson.
Aleatha’s entire life involved being with family members. She was a fun-loving woman who enjoyed doing many things and she will be missed by all the lives she touched.
Aleatha was a skilled seamstress who loved doing crafts and gardening. She read her Bible every day and was a long-time member of the Baptist Church. Aleatha was employed at Wundies, Liberty.
Surviving are her four loving children, Larry (Carol) Wright, of Mt. Wolfe, S. Lyle (Beni Jo) Wright, of Trout Run, whom Aleatha resided with, also Jim (Ellen) Wright, of Williamsport, and Debra Lamb, of Covington; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Leon (Vivian) Tillotson, Lewis Tillotson, Ernestine Herman, Ella Mae Yaggie and “Tike” (Anna Lee) Wright; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Morrel, Dean and Billy and son-in-law, Tim Lamb.
A celebration of Aleatha’s life will be held noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Valley Inn South Side (DuBoistown) Williamsport.
