Carmen L. Newcomer

Carmen L. Newcomer, 88, born March 13, 1928, previously of South Williamsport and a long time resident of Fairbanks, Alaska, passed away October 9, 2016 at the Pioneer Home in Fairbanks where she and her husband, Paul whom she married October 19, 1947, resided for two years.

She was the daughter of the late Adella and Anson L. Newcomer Sr. and graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1946.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Richard) Polzin and Carole Newcomer, both of Fairbanks, Alaska. Also surviving are four grandsons, Raymond, Daniel and Owen Roberts and Dakota Paul Newcomer, all of Fairbanks; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Judith Jackson, of Mechanicsburg also survives.

Carmen was predeceased by four brothers, Anson Jr., Kenneth, Robert and Carl.

Services were held October 12 at the Northern Lights Cemetery and also a service at the Pioneer Home on October 13.
