Donald E. ‘Duck’ Yaw

Mr. Donald E. “Duck” Yaw, 76, longtime resident of Elimsport, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his his loving wife and family on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, while at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born May 8, 1940, at Williamsport, he was the son of the late Clifford Richard and Evelyn May Dittmar Yaw.

Donald had been employed by the former Hackenberg Chevrolet and the former Carl Haga Chevrolet of Milton. He had been a auto body shop manger there for 32 years and retired in 1995.

Duck was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed owning and driving stock cars. He had driven at the Selinsgrove Speedway. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He and his wife, the former Janet M. Bower were married in Williamsport on April 19, 1964. Together they shared 52 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, at home; his four daughters, Brenda L. Kinney, of Williamsport, Lisa E. Smith (Tom), of Elimsport, Lori A. Webb (Rich), of Elimsport and Kayla J. Billheim (Kris), also of Elimsport; his seven grandsons, one granddaughter, three great-grandsons, and five great-granddaughters. He is also survived by his two sisters, Shirley Yaw Keiser, of South Williamsport and Judy Yaw Palmatier, of Farragut.

In addition to his late parents, he was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Esther Joe and Kathryn Sargent and his two brothers, Clifford Yaw and Frederick Yaw and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry “Bud” Yoder, Evangelist with the Christian Church at Cogan Station, officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport.
