Brenden Christopher Shipman, 16, of Cogan Station, left this world all too soon on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016.

Born March 15, 2000, in Williamsport, he was a son of Phillip and Shannon (Bock) Shipman, of Cogan Station. Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister Taylor; paternal grandparents, Barry Shipman, of Trout Run, Marsha Baker (Steve), of Cogan Station;  maternal grandparents, Patty DeGray (Frank), of Pennsdale; great-grandmother, Lorraine Morrett, of Cogan Station; aunts and uncles, Shawn Bock, of Williamsport, Nathan Shipman (Tanya), of Cogan Station, Jay Shipman (Carol), of Cogan Station; cousins,  Jared  Shipman (Lindsay), Owen and Hannah Eck, Ethan and Riley Shipman; second cousin, Miles Shipman and numerous grand-aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Jerome Bock; paternal great-grandparents, Charles Morrett, James and Mildred Shipman; and aunt, Michelle Holmes. Brenden was a junior at Williamsport Area High School.

He was active in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). He worked for Heller’s Market. He enjoyed having his first car. Loved riding his motorcycle; his pet lizards, Ferdinand and Nitro; and hanging with his buddies, Izak, Caleb, Frankie, Julian, Ryan, his military buddy Zach and his girlfriend, Annika.

He loved snowboarding and heavy metal music. He played hockey, little league baseball and wrestling. He loved hunting with Uncle Shawn and picking with his sister, Taylor. With a nickname like “Snake Bite,” what more could be said.

A visitation will be held, Monday, Nov.  7 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. with a memorial service to honor Brenden’s life following at the Christian Church of Cogan Station, 5904 Lycoming Creek Road, Cogan Station.

Burial service will be at the convenience of the family.

We miss you terribly; Brenden and you are alive in our hearts FOREVER!
