Dorothy A. Green
Dorothy A. Green, 88, of Tioga, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro. She was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Morris, a daughter of Alexander and Alice (Creek) Patt. Dorothy predeceased by husbands, Robert Luther Kinton and Garland B. Green. She had been employed as a teller. Dorothy was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tioga, Holy Child Catholic Church in Mansfield and a current member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Wellsboro.
Dorothy is survived by one son, Timothy R. (Kim) Kinton Sr., of Stanley, N.Y.; a stepson, Gene (Helen) Green, of Humble, Texas; a daughter, Jill Wesley of Prattsburgh, NY; a stepdaughter-in-law, Carol Green, of Humble, Texas; seven grandchildren, Angie, Chris and Nicole Green, Timothy R. Kinton Jr., Tom VanOrman, Kari Mino, Jon Kinton; several great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and two sisters, Charlotte “Lottie” Stevens, of Tioga, Patti (George) Duford, of Rochester, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husbands; four sisters; one brother; and a stepson, Albert Green.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 47 Central Ave., Wellsboro, on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at 10 a.m. with Father David Bechtel as celebrant. Burial will be in Bath VA Cemetery, Bath, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
