Fred G. Salvatori Sr.

Fred G. Salvatori Sr., 57, of Williamsport, died suddenly Monday, Nov. 14, 2016.

Born Sept. 30, 1959, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Fred W. and Arlene L. (Strouse) Salvatori.

Fred was a 1977 graduate of Williamsport High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 21 years. For the last 17 years, he worked as the head custodian at South Williamsport High School. Fred loved hunting, fishing and going to his cabin in Barbours with his best friends Ed Tice and Ed Saboski. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Surviving are his wife Tammey R. (Confer) Salvatori, whom he married on April 28, 1979; four children, Trish A. Salvatori-Rider (Jim), of Vienna, Va., Traci H. Salvatori, Fred G. Salvatori Jr. (Rebecca Ross), and Samantha R. Salvatori, all of Williamsport; seven grandchildren, Aiden, John, Madelyn, Jasper, Conan, Natalya and Sebastian; siblings, Melanie E. (Jim) Preziosi, of Williamsport, Jeffrey L. (Sharon) Salvatori, of Dewart, Michael A. (Camille) Salvatori, of Cogan Station, Anita R. (Daniel) Tempesco, of Blandon; mother-in-law, Helen Marie Confer, of Ralston; his adopted son, Daniel Tice and his dog, Debi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Debra A. Schwanbeck and father-in-law, Samuel F. Confer Sr.

A visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. A memorial service to honor Fred’s life will be held at 6 p.m.
