Harry W. Wittman
Harry W. Wittman, 94, of Williamsport and formerly of Montoursville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at the Williamsport Home.
He was born Nov. 26, 1921, in Williamsport, a son of James and Martha Pfirman Wittman.
Harry was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Montoursville. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Air Force as a B-24 pilot, and was active in the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in Troop 21, Montoursville.
He was predeceased by his parents; son, Harry W. Wittman Jr.; and two brothers, Franklin and James Wittman.
Harry is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Kathryn E. Egli; sons, Kenneth (Dawn) Wittman, of Williamsport and Dr. Phil (Jackie) Wittman, of Orlando, Fla.; daughter, Darlene (George) Matzko, of Greenville, S.C.; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with the Rev. Andrew France officiating.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Montoursville Cemetery.
