Henry E. Gordner
Henry E. Gordner, 88, of 858 Route 880, Jersey Shore, died on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at the Gatehouse. He and his wife, the former Dorothy D. Mincemoyer, celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on April 16.
He was born on Feb. 4, 1928, in Hughesville, and was a son of Britton and Anna Everet Gordner.
He was a 1948 graduate of Muncy High School. Henry is a member of Pennsdale United Methodist Church. He worked for the former Lycoming Silica Sand and Koppers now Hanson Quarry, in Nippenose Valley. He retired as manager in 1991, after 45 years of service.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by three loving sons and their families, Eugene (Linda) Gordner, of Picture Rocks, Ray (Mary) Gordner, of Canton and Jay (Linda) Gordner, of South Williamsport; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, at Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave, South Williamsport, with Rev. Charles P. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
