Vivian Louise Hakes

Vivian Louise Hakes, 90, of Ralston, formerly of South Williamsport, died at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center, Williamsport, on Dec. 7, 2016.

Born at Williamsport, on Dec. 9, 1925, the daughter of Howard Elmer Sr. and Mame Viola (Crossley) Wilt.

She was a member of Wings of Love Church at South Williamsport, and the Ralston United Methodist Church. She was on the board of Open Door Chapel in Ralston. She was very involved in her church. She was a lifelong Christian who taught Sunday school and junior choir. She enjoyed her family and family outings as well as vacationing with her children.

Surviving are her daughters, Virginia L. Crain, of Ralston, Shirley Condo, of Harrisburg, Sally J. Weitzel, of Ralston and her son, William R. (Theresa) Hakes. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and her brother, Howard E. Wilt Jr., of Bastress.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Clark L. Hakes Sr.; her son, Clark LaRue Hakes Jr.; one grandchild and her sisters, Alberta Miller and Doris Lose.

Friends will be received Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, South Williamsport.

Funeral services will be held at Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m. with Ann Overmiller officiating.

Interment will follow in the Elimsport Cemetery, Elimsport.
