Norman L. Dowling
Norman L. Dowling, 69, of Williamsport, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Philadelphia. Norman is survived by his wife of 42 years, the former Kitty B. Rohm.
Born July 8, 1947, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Norman E. and Clara A. Carson Dowling.
Norman was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Muncy VFW Post 4328. Norman retired from Textron in 2012, after 10 years of service. He loved camping, doing yard work and was a man of all trades.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Kenneth (Wendy) Reeder and Scott Reeder, all of Trout Run, Robyn (Gary) Kline, of Linden and Shawn Reeder, of Williamsport; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Sidney, Dreana, Alante and Charlee; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Lela Yoder, of Williamsport; a brother, John Dowling, of English Center; and several nieces and nephews.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
In keeping with his wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
