Roberta Lois ‘Bertie’ Coleman
Roberta Lois “Bertie” Coleman, 79, of Williamsport, entered her eternal resting place, where she was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents and brother Max on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017.
Born June 20, 1937, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ernestine (Herriman) Wahler.
Bertie was a 1955 graduate of Williamsport High School. She worked as a teacher’s aide for Williamsport Area School District for many years, and became the librarian at Round Hills Elementary for eight years. Bertie was a member of Garden View Church of Christ. She enjoyed camping, reading, but loved taking care of her family.
She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Jack L. Coleman Sr.; four children, Glenda L. Wheeler (Bob), of Morris, Jack L. Coleman Jr., of Williamsport, Ronald L. Coleman, of Williamsport, Dion L. Coleman (Mary Lou), of Trout Run; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother, Robert Wahler (Charlotte), of Maine; and three sisters, Doris Sander, of Georgia, Sharon Greninger (Gene), of Montgomery and Dawn Kehrer (Darryl), of Virginia.
A memorial service to honor the life of Roberta will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
