Joseph M. Rdesinski Sr., 69, of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at his home.

Born May 7, 1947, in Philadelphia, he was a son to the late Marion J. and Doris (Wikberg) Rdesinski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven, and a brother, James.

For many years, Joe was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and St. Luke’s Catholic Church. He retired from Stroehman’s Bakery after 30 years of service. During the Vietnam War, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing softball.

Surviving are his loving wife, the former Donna M. Beckman, they were united in marriage on Oct. 21, 1967; two sons, Joseph M. Jr. and David J. (Eva) Rdesinski, both of Jersey Shore; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence, of Phildadelphia, Theodore (Valerie), of Philadelphia and John (Tomi) Rdesinski, of Sumter, S.C.; and three sisters, Dolores (John) Mancini, of Feasterville, Susanna Rdesinski, of South Hampton and Louise (Morgan) Abele, of Westminster.

Memorial service will be held noon Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. Father Bert Kozen will officiate.

Following the services, full military honors will be conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.

Burial will be held at a later date in the Salladasburg Cemetery.
