Kathleen L. Fullmer
Kathleen L. Fullmer, 93, formerly of High Street, Williamsport, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Williamsport Home.
She was born in Port Carbon, on Dec. 3, 1923, a daughter of William J. and Hannah (McLaughlin) Lynagh.
Kathleen was a graduate of the former St. Joseph High School and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Kathleen became a certified ceramic teacher in 1965. She was owner and operator of Fullmer’s Ceramic Studio, first on Southern Avenue then in DuBoistown, for a total of 27 years.
She married P.F.C. Lester J. “Les” Fullmer U.S.M.C. on Feb. 23, 1945, he died Oct. 10, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, L. William (Sandra) Fullmer, of Liberty and Keith R. (Helene) Fullmer, of Mays Landing, N.J.; eight grandchildren, Brian Fullmer, Dana Shumbat and Lexi Fox, Elliott and Hannah Fullmer, James and Andrew Butters, Angela Loych; twelve great-grandchildren, Samantha and Gage Shumbat, Bailey, Brayden and Chance Fox, Lyndee Fullmer Schaffer, Jordan, Kaeli, Rowan and Emery Butters, Kara and Alyssa Loych.
In addition to her parents and her husband, a sister, Virginia L. Davis; and brother, William T. Lynagh, preceded her in death.
The family will receive family and friends in the church portico from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, Saturday, March 25, 2017, with her pastor, Rev. Brian Van Fossen, officiating; followed by burial at Wildwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions in Kathleen’s name may be made to either St. Joseph the Worker Parish or Lycoming County S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
