Jeffery A. Morral

Jeffery A. Morral, of Mount Joy, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 12, 2017. Jeff had been in declining health since 2006 due to Primary Lateral Sclerosis, but he now has a body that will not fail him.

Jeff was born on March 3, 1957, the son of Lois G. (Hite) Morral and the late Herbert A. Morral of Clearville. Jeff and his wife, Sandra K. (Shrey) Morral, a native of Montgomery, met and studied math together many hours at Juniata College. They had been married 27 years.

Jeff taught 7th grade math at Columbia High School in Lancaster County for 29 years. In his early years of teaching, Jeff coached the girls’ tennis team and was an assistant boys’ basketball coach. When he was able, Jeff enjoyed playing tennis, flower gardening, and helping neighbors, especially shoveling snow for them. Jeff was a member of Community Bible Church in Marietta, and prior to that, The Alliance Church in Elizabethtown, where he occasionally taught adult Sunday School classes.

In addition to his mother and wife, Jeff is survived by a son, Benjamin. He is also survived by sisters, Debra Morral-Salman, Susan Morral, Karen Morral, Mary Morral, Peggy Thomas-Hoy, and Donna Coleman; and a brother, David Morral.

A service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held at The Alliance Church, Elizabethtown, on Saturday, June 17, at 11 a.m. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church and also at the Sheetz Funeral Home in Mount Joy, on Friday, June 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friends are welcome to attend the graveside service which will be held at Green Lawn Memorial Park in Montgomery on Monday, June 19 at 11 a.m.
