Andrew Kondisko Jr.

To paraphrase Tom Brokaw, “We have lost another member of the greatest generation.” Andrew Kondisko Jr., 89, a resident of Williamsport, formerly of Lock Haven, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017, in The Hillside Assisted Living Community at Montoursville. Born in Philipsburg, Centre County, on Sunday, February 19, 1928, he was the son of the late Andrew and Esther (Bologi) Kondisko.

He was the widower of Doris (Marince) Kondisko who preceded him in death in 2012. They were inseparable and loved to travel.

Andy honorably served during World War II with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre.

He was retired from the Northrop Grumman Corporation in California and had previously been employed by Piper Aircraft at Lock Haven.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church at Lock Haven. Andy enjoyed hunting and was an avid Phillies fan.

He is survived by two sons, James and wife Elizabeth Kondisko, Williamsport, Les “Ron” and wife Karen Kondisko, Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Michele (Eric) Bergman; Brian (Kris) Kondisko; Jessica Ledsome; Sarah (Steven) Aloi; Krista Kondisko and Grant Kondisko. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Innichement will take place in the Wildwood Cemetery.
