Shirley M. Litzelman
Shirley M. (Schodt) Litzelman, 80, of Trout Run, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, at her home.
She was married to Daniel L. Litzelman, who survives, on June 3, 1955. They have shared 62 years as husband and wife.
Shirley was born on Nov. 13, 1936, in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Harry and Edith M. (Moon) Schodt. She had worked at Weldon’s Garments from 1954 – 1956, Cobbles Shoes and then Home Health of Williamsport, retiring in 1997. She was Methodist by faith. She was a member of the Arnot Sportsman’s Club, enjoyed watching Penn State Football, fishing, hunting, cooking, baking and canning, but most of all, loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Daniel, she is survived by four daughters, Susan M. Woodson (William), of Roseburg, Ore., Linda K. Litzelman, of Cogan Station, Tammie A. Evans (Lee), of Elimsport and Lori Lee Sherant (Raymond), of Arnot; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Roland Schodt, of Bodines and Harry Schodt Jr. (Freda), of Trout Run; and one sister, Amelia Moyer, of Cogan Station. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann May Kissel and Beverly Holdren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
