Donald R. Booth

Donald R. “Boothie” Booth, 61, of Eagles Mere, died Saturday, August 5, 2017, in Muncy Valley.

Born June 24, 1956, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Carl R. and Ruth J. (Fenstermacher) Cooper, who survives.

Boothie enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and cooking. He also was a fan of sports, he loved playing golf and league softball, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Angela R. (Robert) Gensemer, of Laporte, and Kay L. (Raymond) Wilson, of Eagles Mere; three brothers, David C. (Penny) Booth, of Huntersville, Paul R. (Kathy) Booth, of Eagles Mere, and Gary S. Booth, of Eagles Mere; a son, Mikal (Jennifer) Gavitt, of Eagles Mere; two grandchildren, Joshua and Rachel Gavitt; three nieces, Kelly Gensemer, Lynda Hatches, and Michelle Vest; four nephews, Michael and Mark Delabar, and Samuel and Jason Booth; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. September 10, at the Eagles Mere Community Hall, to celebrate Boothie’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the North Mountain Sportsman Association, c/o Tom Robbins, RR No. 1, Box 364, Muncy Valley, PA 17758.
