James R. Foster
James R. “Jim” Foster, 54, of Hughesville, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at home. James was the husband of Julia L. (O’Connor) Foster and were married on July 24, 1987.
Born June 27, 1963, in Williamsport, he is the son of Mary E. (William) West, of Montoursville, and the late Jack B. (Linda) Foster, Sr. James attended Loyalsock and Montoursville High Schools and was employed as a quality technician/supervisor at Andritz, Muncy. He loved automobiles and working on them, he enjoyed Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey, Penn State Football, fishing, hunting, especially turkey hunting. He cherished spending time with his family, including his grand-dogs, “Luna” and “Daisy.”
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, is a daughter, Chelsea R. Foster, of Hughesville; three sisters, Robin L. Foster, of Williamsport, Dolores “Jeanie” J. (James) Lisson, of Hillsgrove, Jessica M. (Seth) Neitz, of Montoursville; and two brothers, Jack B. Foster Jr., of Hughesville, and Roy A. Foster, of Trout Run.
Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31 at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Pastor Jerry Uppling officiating. Burial will be Pleasant Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Thursday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
