Jovan H. Cramer


Jovan H. Cramer, 84, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on Monday August 7, 2017. Jovan was born in Williamsport, son of the late Rosabelle and David W. Cramer.

After graduating from Williamsport High School in 1953, he joined the U.S. Air Force and married his high school sweetheart Barbara Muhlenberg. In the Air Force he achieved the rank of Chief Master Sgt. as a maintenance aircraft supervisor. Jovan received the Meritorious Service Medal for his service in the Korean & Vietnam wars and retired honorably after 21 years of service. Jovan’s tours of service included Germany, Libya, Taiwan, Vietnam, Okinawa and Thailand.

Jovan served as President of the Chandler junior chamber of commerce, member of the Oriental lodge No. 20 as a 32 degree Mason and Shriner, and past Chairman of the Board of Trustees in the American Legion Post 35. After retiring from the Air Force, Jovan enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family and also his friends at the American Legion Post.

Jovan was a loving father and grandfather and is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Jadene and her husband Jeff; grandchildren, Courtney and Jake; and his brother, Dave.
