Ramon E. Biichle
Ramon E. “Dink” Biichle, 89, a resident of Valley View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and formerly of South Williamsport, passed away Tuesday August 8, 2017, at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital. He was born April 1, 1928, in Williamsport, the youngest son of George and Mary Palmer Biichle.
Ramon is survived by a sister, Harriett “Tudy” and Don Hessler, of Warrington, Pa. His nieces, nephews and cousins and a special friend and companion of 40 plus years Joe Cesa, of South Williamsport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Charles, George Jr. and Edward as well as other relatives.
Ramon attended South Williamsport High School and worked with his father and brothers in their family sheet metal business. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Co. and retired from the West Co. in 1993 after 34 years of employment. Ramon enjoyed travel both abroad and at home as well visiting and spending time with family and friends. He had many interests and hobbies, gardening, music, camping and antiques were among them. For many years Ray was very active as an Altar Boy and Acolyte at Christ Church in Williamsport.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on August 17, at Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Veronica Chappell officiating.
Flowers will be provided by the family and memorial contributions in Ramon’s name may be directed to the Gatehouse Hospice C/O Susquehanna Health Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to a charity of your choice.
