Helen D. Meyer

Helen D. Meyer, 75, of Loyalsock Township, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at The Gatehouse with her family at her side.

Helen was born in Williamsport on Nov. 16, 1941, the daughter of the late James E. and Marion E. (Murnane) Dugan.

She was a 1959 graduate of Williamsport High School, a longtime reunion committee member and a member of the 59ers. Helen was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She also owned the former Beverage Barn on Old Lycoming Creek Road and was the building manager for the Williamsport Building.

Her husband of 49 years, Bernard J. Meyer, died March 2, 2011.

Surviving are her children, Sheila Evans (John), of Wilmington, N.C., Bernard “Bo” Meyer Jr. (Lisa Ramin Meyer), of Montoursville, Monica Klingerman (Daniel), of Loyalsock Township, Matthew Meyer (Sharon Orr Meyer), of Montoursville; ten grandchildren; and a brother, James E. Dugan Jr., of Oak Hill, Va.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, followed by burial at St. Boniface Cemetery.
