Marlene M. Hill

Marlene M. Hill, 84, of Williamsport, died peacefully Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, with her family by her side at the home of her grandson Jason Harris, where she had resided.

Born Sept. 11, 1933, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Harry Leroy and Irene (Farver) Kurtz.

Marlene retired as a nurse’s aid from Susque View after 20 years. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and enjoyed playing cards.

Surviving are five children, Ann Harris of Williamsport, Deborah Edge (Randy), of Clermont, Ga., Catherine DeVaul (John), of Renovo, Theodore Hill (April), of Renovo, and Stephen Richardson, of Florida; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Hill in 1987; a grandson; two great-grandsons; and 11 siblings.

A memorial service to honor Marlene’s life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 15, at All Saints Memorial Episcopal Church, 510 Beeber St., Williamsport.
