Mary E. Harris


Mary E. Harris, 56, of Lock Haven, passed away Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at ManorCare Health Services, Jersey Shore.

Born August 14, 1961, in Lock Haven, she was a daughter to Donald L. Sr. (Barbara) Harris, of White Deer, and the former Mary E. Hess, of Dunnstown.

Mary was a graduate of Lock Haven High School. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid Elvis fan. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting Native American Heritage memorabilia, but her greatest love was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She retired from Goodwill in Lock Haven after many years of service.

Surviving in addition to her parents are a son, Brian K. (Natalie) Smeal, of Mill Hall; daughters, Crystal L. (Gene) Boyce, of Cameron, N.C., and Stephanie A. (Cherokee) Hamilton, of Dunnstown; three brothers, Donald L. Harris Jr., of Bellefonte, Matthew D. Harris, of Jersey Shore, and Duane A. (Pat) Herritt, of Jersey Shore; two sisters, Katherine J. (Karl) Wolfe, of McElhattan, and Cheryl R. (Briton) Orndorf, of Dunnstown; and 7 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, November 29, at Welker Funeral Home. Lay Minister Kathy Ripka will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
