Stephen L. Hill

Stephen Lee Hill, 57, of Glen Mawr, passed away Saturday, Nov.4, 2017, at The Manor at Penn Village. Born Feb. 11, 1960, in Muncy, he was a devoted member of the Point Bethel United Methodist Church in Glen Mawr, and served as church pianist and spent many years serving as a church organist across Pennsylvania.

Stephen was passionate about music, and composed many original pieces, many of which were performed at the churches for which he played. He had a deep appreciation for nature and was an animal lover. Steve was famous in this town for playing his flute along Rock Run, where his music would echo in the valley for all to hear. He owned and operated Hills Used Piano store in Wilkes-Barre in the late 80s and early 90s.

Stephen is survived by his parents, Stewart Frederick Hill and Sandra Louise Hill, of Glen Mawr; his brother, Pastor Michael Andrew (spouse, Patricia) Hill, of Elimsport; his three children, Gwendolyn Ann King, of Portland, Ore., Ian Andrew Hill, of Hamilton, N.J., and Colin Lee Leidy, of Jersey City, N.J.; his niece, Ellen Hill; and his nephew, Jason Hill.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Franklin Bethel Cemetery in Franklin Township Lycoming County.
