Frank E. Stiger

Frank E. Stiger, 96, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Helen E. (Fry) Stiger.

Born May 19, 1921, in Rose Valley, he was a son of the late Clayton W. and Mary E. (May) Stiger.

Frank served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and attended the former Williamsport Dickinson Seminary. He was employed as a machinist for 40 years at the former AVCO now Textron Lycoming and the former Litton Industries, Inc.

Frank was a member of Heshbon Park United Methodist Church, a 68 year member of Ivy Lodge 937, F. & A.M., and Warrensville hunting club. He enjoyed hunting, baseball and softball, golf, bowling, vegetable gardening and woodworking.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Marc E. (Lori A.) Stiger, of Montoursville and Jan C. (Roni S.) Stiger, of Trout Run; two grandsons, Dennis G. Sullivan (Tiffany), of Duboistown, Nick L. Seese (Britnee), of Jersey Shore; three great-grandchildren, Tyra Lorson, Abbi Seese and Grant Sullivan; a sister, Norma Cooper, of Endicott, N.Y.; three nieces and several cousins.

A funeral service to honor the life of Frank will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 29 at Heshbon Park United Methodist Church, 2898 Heshbon Road, Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Heshbon Park United Methodist Church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s name to Heshbon Park United Methodist Church, 2898 Heshbon Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
