Ronald C. “Lefty” Travis, 73, of Williamsport, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2017, at home. He and his wife the former Pamela Lyon were married on Jan. 18, 1969, and shared 48 years together.
Ron was born on August 24, 1944, in Punxsutawney, and was a son of John and Isabelle Anderson Travis.
He was a 1962 graduate of Williamsport High School, 1967 graduate of Lycoming College in Political Science and Dickinson School of Law in 1970.
Ron was a partner at the Rieders Travis Law Firm. He was a member of the Lycoming Law Association, PCDLA, KDR Fraternity, Williamsport Tennis Club, USTA, Lycoming College Athletic Hall of Fame, West Branch Valley Sports Hall of Fame and a board member of Bethune-Douglas Center.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kelli Travis, of Williamsport; and three grandchildren, Zach Travis, Rory Peters and Kenna Peters.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Leigh Stearns Travis; and a brother, John P. Travis.
Graveside services will be held at noon on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Kaufman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2102 Northway Road, Williamsport, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The family will provide flowers.
