Stanley O. Kepler Sr.

Stanley O. Kepler Sr., 75, of Trout Run, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2017.

Born Sept. 15, 1942, in Canton, he was a son of Jesse A. and Beatrice M. (Bassett) Kepler.

Stanley was a Vietnam War Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served on the USS San Pablo. He worked many years in construction and had been the Business Agent for the Laborers Local No. 708. He retired as the human resource manager for Nicholas Meats, Loganton. Stanley enjoyed spending time with his family, going on cross country motorcycle trips, woodworking, shooting pool, playing cards and was an avid Penn State Football fan.

Surviving are three children, David Splain (Tina), of Williamsport, Christine Splain, of Williamsport, and Dianne Kepler, of Williamsport; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Deborah Nicholas, of Montoursville; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Stanley O. Kepler Jr. in 2016, and William Joseph Kolanda; five siblings, Joyce Martone, Harriett Kiessling, Gerald, Ronald and Paul Kepler.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, followed by a memorial service to honor Stanley’s life at 2 p.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lycoming County Hometown Hero’s, 48 W. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701 to assist Veterans in need of assistance or the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758516 Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
