Aaron H. Ritter
Aaron H. Ritter, 63, of Muncy, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at his home.
Born Oct. 1, 1954, in Danville, he was a son of the late Harry J. and Evelyn G. (Phillips) Ritter. He and his wife, the former Julie H. Watts, would have celebrated 42 years of marriage on Feb. 7, 2018.
Aaron was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed working the family farm all of his life. He gave selflessly to his community, currently serving as Franklin Township Supervisor/Road Master and formerly volunteering as a wrestling coach for the Hughesville elementary and Junior/Senior high wrestling programs.
Aaron was also an avid hunter, and die hard wrestling fan, who enjoyed attending auctions, watching Yankees baseball and Penn State football, showing and judging cattle, playing softball, and above all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Duane A. (Katie) Ritter, of Oneonta, N.Y., Scott W. (Beth) Ritter, of Muncy, and Kevin H. (Kassie) Ritter, of Muncy; three sisters, Gail (Mike) Wood, of Muncy, Ruth Ann (Eugene) Minnick, of Orangeville, and Carol (Lloyd) Mordan, of Muncy Valley; and six grandchildren, Ashton Ritter, Julia Ritter, Clayton Ritter, Ally Ritter, Kellie Ritter, and Kody Ritter.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 6, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
