Emma J. Shuman Seymour
Emma J. Shuman Seymour, 91, of Cider Press Road, Lock Haven, passed away Dec. 30, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born in Jersey Shore Jan. 18, 1926, to the late Homer and Sara Bardo Shuman. Emma was united in marriage Oct. 25, 1948, in Jersey Shore to Arthur A. Seymour who preceded her in death May 1, 2014. She had attended the Jersey Shore schools and had worked at the former Bobbi Brooks, Mill Hall Sylvan Plant and had retired from the Woolrich Woolen Mill sewing dept after 27 years of service. she was also a member of the Lock Haven First Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose club.
Survivors include three sons, Harold (Melanie) Erb, of Beech Creek, Jeffrey (Judy) Seymour, of Lamar and Arthur (Susan) Seymour, of New Market, Maryland; two daughters, Jean (Ed) Leisenring, of Williamsport and Connie (Jeffrey) Dutton, of Woolrich; also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Gary Seymour in 2016; three brothers, John, Cleon and Donald Shuman; and four sisters, Mary Lyon, Esther Gallagher, Margaret Suter and Wanda Brown.
Family and friends will be received in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC, 121 W. Main St. Lock Haven, Tuesday Jan. 2, 2018, from 1-3 p.m. The family will provide the flowers.
Memorials will be accepted to the Clinton County SPCA 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven. Interment will be in the Woolrich Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
