Freddy Bauman, 83, of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018.
He was born in Queens Run, Clinton County on July 3, 1934, the youngest of Harry and Merella (Shade) Bauman.
Freddy graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years retiring in January of 1974. Upon retirement from the Navy, he worked for the Chatham Water Company of Woolrich from which he retired in 1992. He married the former Shirley Anne Ricker of Avis on Jan. 16, 1960; she passed away on March 20, 2002, after 42 years of marriage.
Freddy was a member and past officers of many local social clubs including Citizens Hose Co., Jersey Shore Area School Police and Jersey Shore Fire Police, Avis American Legion and Jersey Shore American Legion. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
His survivors include one daughter, Cathy Eisner (Kevin); one son, Chris Bauman; along with four grandchildren, Zachary (Kyla), KelliJo, Olivia-Anne and Emilee; many dear friends and caregivers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Freddy was preceded in death by his parents; wife; siblings, Sylvester, Jack, Annabelle, Ruth, Orphia, Mary, Rosie and Viola; his twin brother, Teddy; and grandson, Connor James.
Freddy’s Life Tribute Celebration will begin with a visitation on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, followed by services at noon. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park with full military honors accorded by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
