Kody Jay Webb

Kody Jay Webb, 30, a lifelong resident of Hughesville, passed away unexpectedly from an unknown heart condition on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at Lock Haven Hospital.

He was born in Lycoming County on October 8, 1987. He was the son of Kathy A. and David T. Nevel, of Hughesville and Percy Jay Webb and companion Georgine Fritz, of Lewisburg.

He was a 2006 graduate of Hughesville High School where he excelled in playing football and basketball. He was a 2010 graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a degree in sociology and psychology.

He was deeply loved by his work family at Delta Galil where he has worked for the past five years.

He was an avid Penn State and Philadelphia sports fan and was an active athlete throughout his life. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and so many friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother and nephew, Curtis M. Webb and his son, Easton Webb, of Loyalsock; a sister, nephew and niece: Kristina C. Santiago, of Harrisburg and her children, Gene Goss, of Milton and Elena Valencia, of Harrisburg; grandparents, Charles and Lucinda Shreck, of Montgomery and Harold and Stella Webb, of Watsontown; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Madeline Webb; paternal step-grandmother, Wilma Nevel; paternal step-grandfather, Charles Nevel; maternal grandfather, Robert Bitler Sr.; maternal aunt, Karen Clayton; and paternal uncle, Perry Webb.

Friends and family are invited to call from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., PC, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Watsontown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Kody’s memory be made to either the American Heart Association or the March of Dimes.
