Donald W. Schoch

Donald Wayne Schoch, 76, of The Villages, Fla., passed away Feb. 19, 2018. Don was born July 5, 1941, in Williamsport to Arlene and Donald Schoch.

He spent his school years in the Hughesville/Muncy areas, and joined the Army shortly after high school. While in the Army he served tours in Vietnam, Korea twice, Germany twice, and numerous stateside locations. He retired as a First Sergeant in 1982. For the next 10 years he continued to serve as a dependent until his wife retired in 1992.

After living in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. for several years they began traveling full time in their RV and spending time in Biloxi, Miss. They finally settled in The Villages, Fla. Don loved life and people as evidenced by his numerous friends from around the world.

He was preceded in death by his parents and beautiful daughter, Wendy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda (Zorn); sister, Jean Belmont, of Washington; sister-in-law, Lillian (Peter) Covella and brothers-in-law, Darrell (Laurie) Zorn and Ron (Bonnie) Zorn; 10 nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and nephews.
