Daniel M. Fortney
Daniel Michael Fortney, age 66, of Orangeburg, S.C., passed away at his home on April 17, 2018. He was born Aug. 15, 1951, the son of Daniel and Madeline (Ferranti) Fortney. Daniel was an “over the road” truck driver who loved spending time with his family. His favorite things were cooking, barbecuing and hunting.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Rasodo; two daughters, Angela Han, Annette Fortney, both of Tampa, Fla.; sons, Daniel Fortney, of Blossburg, and Brandon Fortney and step-son, Chris Rosado, both of Orangeburg, S.C.; brother, Raymond Haslett, Philippines; 7 sisters, Linda (Robert) Smith, of Morris Run, Karen Crum, of Stoney Fork, Nancy (James) Dawes, of Trout Run, Jeanette (Joseph) Witucki, of Morris Run, Vivian (John) Miller, of Mt. Joy, Susan Overpeck, of Tioga, Arloween Witucki of Blossburg; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by brothers, Terry Fortney, Robert Fortney and a sister, Sheila Smith.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Hillside Rod and Gun Club, Blossburg, PA on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1:00 P.M., Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
