Floyd L. Webster

Floyd L. Webster, 87, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport, surrounded by his family.

Floyd was married on Nov. 7, 1953, to Mary Jane (Gilbody) who survives, and they have celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Floyd was born in Williamsport on July 16, 1930, to the late Norman and Clara Mae (Fry) Webster.

He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1949 where he excelled in track and cross country.

He served his country with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Floyd worked for Sylvania, Williamsport Hospital, and Sovereign Bank, where he retired from in his early 60’s. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Williamsport, and the Korean War Veterans.

Floyd liked to fish, hunt, camp and bowl, and enjoyed a good game of pool and horseshoes. He coached various sports and enjoyed attending his children’s and grandchildren’s numerous sports, dance and music events. One of his favorite things to do was to take his wife for a spin on the dance floor.

In addition to his wife Mary Jane, he is survived by two daughters, Mary Lee Bellott (Leonard), of Williamsport and Jill C. Mihoces (Daniel), of South Park; two sons, Keith N. Webster, of Williamsport and David F. Webster (Connie), of Athens; eight grandchildren, Stacey Bellott Jamison (Elon), Jason Bellott (Alexandra), Chelsea Webster Leber (Kyle), Lucas Webster, Courtney Webster, Kacey Mihoces, Shannon Mihoces, and Rudy Mihoces; three great-grandsons, Kieran Jamison, Rowan Jamison and Riley Bellott; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Floyd is preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Jack and Donald Webster.

The memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1400 Market St., Williamsport. Family and friends are invited to visit from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Following the memorial service, military honors will be provided by the Korean War Veterans.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Donate Life (C.O.R.E) at 204 Sigma Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 or to the Korean War Veterans at P.O. Box 3232, Williamsport, PA 17701.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
