Alice M. Snyder

Alice M. Snyder, 85, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Gatehouse.

Alice was born Jan. 3, 1933, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Reuben B. and Margaret A. Peters Keagle.

She was employed by GTE Sylvania as a supervisor until she retired and was a member of its Quarter Century Club. After she retired Alice began for many years working full time in her antique business. She enjoyed the many friendships she made in her travels to find that “one of a kind piece.” Alice loved cats and shared her life with them. Her charity extended to cat rescue groups. She was a member of the Farragut Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward L. Snyder and her sisters, June Dunlop and Grace Kerschner.

She is survived by her niece, Debra Burkhart; nephews, Jim Snyder, Gerald, Scott and Curtis Dunlop; and step daughter, Barbara Sonnenberg

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with the Rev. David W. Trostle officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends will be received Monday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
