Carol Ann Cunningham

Carol Ann Cunningham, 60, of South Williamsport, passed away early Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, in Magee Womens Hospital of Pittsburgh following a brave battle with cancer.

Carol was born Feb. 3, 1958, to Donald and Jean (Vanderlin) Cunningham, in Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport High School, where she played basketball, in 1976, from WACC (now Penn College) in 1978, and received her bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University. Carol worked as an accountant at Riddle Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Carol was an athlete and enjoyed playing basketball and softball, and her love of athletics lead her to being an avid Philadelphia sports fan. She was a devoted aunt and dearly loved her nieces and nephew.

Carol is survived by six brothers, Jim Cunningham, of Traverse City, Mich., Don Cunningham, of Loyalsock, Mike Cunningham (Marsha), of Loyalsock, Mark Cunningham (Denise), of Allentown, Steve Cunningham, of Cortland, N.Y., and Bob Cunningham (Sara), of East Lansing, Mich.; two nieces, Meghan Cunningham and Molly Cunningham; one nephew, MacKay Cunningham; and two stepnieces, Erin (Lisa) Donahue and Rachelle Horning.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Cunningham.

Carol’s family has entrusted the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation and Funeral Service, 500 W. Fourth St. Williamsport, PA, with her services, where a private service paying tribute to her life will be held.
