Evelyn M. Eiswerth

Evelyn M. Eiswerth, 95, formerly of Union Avenue and Elmcroft, passed away peacefully at Valley View Nursing Center on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018.

Evelyn was born in Williamsport on August 3, 1923, a daughter of Eugene J. and Magdalena (Haefner) Eck.

She was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Evelyn enjoyed flowers, gardening and spending time with family.

Her husband of 66 years, Joseph F. Eiswerth, died March 1, 2013.

Surviving are her children: Wayne, Elaine (Keith) Harvey and Delores, of Williamsport, Gary, of Linden, Marilyn (Michael) Leonard, of State College and Bernard (Elizabeth), of Montgomery, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Barbara Eiswerth, of West Chester, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene J. Eck and Joseph F. Eck; and a sister, Magdalene Morton.

In addition to her parents and husband, a son, James E. Eiswerth; a great-grandson, Adrian; brother, Paul J. Eck; and sisters, Catherine Bower and Dorothy Norton, all preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701, with Senior Priest, Rev. James Tracy officiating followed by burial at St. Boniface Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church.
