Joanne E. Oeler
Joanne E. (Casale) Oeler, 73, of Williamsport, died Monday, August 27, 2018, at the Gatehouse, UPMC.
Born in Williamsport on March 23, 1945, she was the daughter of Frank and Blanche (Pennella) Casale.
Joanne was one of the owners of the Triangle Tavern and established the Kandelite Inn in Ralston, Pa., in 1985 with her late, former husband, Robert Oeler Sr.
Joanne was a legend in many respects, cooking, playing set-back and 500, dancing the jitter bug and salsa, bowling and entertaining for her family and friends. Above all, her passion was spending time with her family. Joanne was a member of Mater Dolorosa Church and the Christian Mother’s Society.
Surviving are three children, Robert W. Oeler Jr. (Dreste Davison), Jenna R. Kuhns (Thomas), and David A. Oeler (Heather Nicholas); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at St. Joseph The Worker, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
The family will receive family and friends in the church portico from 8:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to Mass.
