Linda K. Morse

On the morning of Wednesday, September 5, 2018, Linda Kay (Wells) Morse, of Cogan House Township, passed away quietly at Williamsport Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 59.

Born January 24, 1059 in Towanda, she was the daughter of Gerald and Patricia (Speer) Wells. She was a 1976 graduate of Towanda High School, and was employed for several years as a quality assurance manager with West Pharmaceutical Co. In recent years she was a customer service representative at Citizens & Northern Bank. She was the wife of David A. Morse, and mother of two sons.

Linda was a woman of faith and was a member of the Cogan House Christian Church. Her love of the Lord gave her the strength to face life’s tribulations, and on Wednesday morning she took His hand and went home.

Linda is survived by her husband, David A. Morse, at home; son Victor T. Morse, of the Boston Area; sister, Kathy Davis, of Bentley Creek; brothers, Jerry Wells, of Wysox, and John Wells, of Milford; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Elizabeth Mosher; sister-in-law, Ruth Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jason (age 3 months); parents, Gerald and Patricia (Speer) Wells, and stepmother Carol Wells-Tewksbury.

Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N. Center St., Canton, and will resume 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Cleveland Way officiating.

Interment will follow in East Canton Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers, and suggests that contributions in Linda’s memory be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
