Caryll A. Eck

Caryll A. Eck, 78, of 2635 Northway Road, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at home. She and her husband, Paul C. Eck, celebrated 56 years of marriage.

She was born on Nov. 4, 1939, in Williamsport and was the daughter of Clark and D. Jean Moore Lorimer.

Caryll was a 1957 graduate of Williamsport High School, 1961 graduate of Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing, and 1983 graduate of Bloomsburg University with her BSN. She was an associate professor of nursing at Penn College in their LPN program. She employed for both Williamsport Hospital and Divine Providence Hospital in their Pediatric and Operating Room Departments, retiring in 1984.

She is a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Caryll was an avid gardener, great cook and herbalist. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, coin collecting and traveling. Most of all she was a great wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by two daughters, Melinda L. (David) Bender, of Picture Rocks, and Susan M. Parmenter, of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Joan A. Dunkleberger, of Hughesville; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at Kaufman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2102 Northway Road, with Reverend John J. Victoria officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m.
