Jacqueline B. Jacopetti

Jacqueline B. Jacopetti, 88, born Aug. 10, 1930, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018.

She was the loving wife of the late Eugene L. “Geno” Jacopetti Sr. and had been a lifelong resident of South Williamsport, until five years ago when she and her husband of 63 years moved to Huntingdon Valley, Pa., to be closer to family.

She is survived by three children, Eugene Jr. (Candy), of Doylestown, Pa.; Michael (Theresa), of Dallas, Pa.; and Lynn (Tom) Nicolosi, of Doylestown, Pa. A brother, John F. Bower Jr., resides in Charlotte, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, John F. and Dorothy Bower Sr., and three brothers, Doane, Gregg, and Dwain Bower.

“Jackie” loved and cherished her five grandchildren, Marisa Jacopetti-Holmes and Nicolas Jacopetti; Ashley Jacopetti-Morris and Leigh Anne Jacopetti-Kondraski; and MaKindree Nicolosi, as well as her six great grandchildren, Matthew, Alexandra, and Benjamin Holmes, and Emmersyn, Everleigh, and Jack Morris.

Jackie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was very proud of her family. She made deep and lasting friendships wherever she lived. Throughout her full life, she exhibited a selflessness admired by all. She had a sharp mind and a keen sense of humor, immersing herself in her novels, crossword puzzles and social media.

Jackie worked at Bell Telephone for 42 years; most of her career as an operator, and ultimately in the engineering department, drawing maps to identify the location for telephone lines. While living in South Williamsport, she was a Eucharistic Minister for 17 years at St. Boniface Church, was one of the original ushers for the Community Arts Center and was a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers. In addition, she started a needlework club and performed many hours of volunteering in her most recent community, Gloria Dei Manor.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m., at Saint Boniface Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701, with the Rev. Andrew Kurovsky, Jackie and Geno’s longtime friend, officiating. Her interment, alongside Geno, will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, 91 Wildwood Blvd., Williamsport, Pa.

The family will receive family and friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Gloria Dei Communities Foundation, 3501 Masons Mill Road, Ste. 403, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 or Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 1101 Willow St., Peckville, PA 18452.
